As of the end of May 2011, the total output of dairy products in China reached 9.3733 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 7.12%, a decrease of 4.96 percentage points from the same period in 2011. In terms of a single month, the output of dairy products in May 2011 reached 1.9915 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 7.83%, a decrease of 4.69 percentage points from May 2011, and the growth rate of dairy product production in May rebounded by 2.14 percentage points from the previous month. From January to May, the cumulative output of liquid milk in China was 7.9279 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 8.27%, a decrease of 3.32 percentage points from the same period last year, and a decrease of 0.31 percentage points from the cumulative growth rate last month. Monthly: Liquid milk production in May was 1.6749 million tons, up 7.88% year-on-year, 5.33 percentage points lower than that in May 2011, and 0.99 percentage points higher than that in the previous month.
From January to May, the cumulative production of frozen drinks was 1.0099 million tons, up 4.57% year-on-year, 15.87 percentage points lower than that in the same period of 2011, and 2.05 percentage points lower than that in the previous month. The production of frozen drinks in May reached 269,200 tons, an increase of 25,600 tons from the previous month, and a month-on-month increase of 10.51%. From the year-on-year growth rate: the production of frozen drinks in May increased by -1.96% year-on-year, 8.35 percentage points lower than that in the previous month, and 19.57 percentage points lower than that in the same period of 2011.
